Mass Castration Campaign - PREÁ
Performed in partnership with the NGO Jeri Sobre Patas
With the goal of controlling the growth of the animal population in the village of Preá and contributing to animal health, public health, and above all, the well-being and safety of tourists and residents, the first community castration campaign was carried out on August 10th and 11th, 2024, in partnership with the NGO Jeri Sobre Patas.
The NGO Jeri Sobre Patas , which has over 12 years of experience in spaying and neutering in the region, was a key partner in mobilizing and carrying out the campaign.
Results:
- Over 50 home visits conducted.
- High participation from the local community.
- A total of 108 animals were neutered in 2 days, including 43 dogs and 65 cats, preventing the birth of approximately 430 canine puppies and 800 feline kittens in one year.
This number reflects the commitment and hard work of the team and volunteers, who dedicated themselves to approaching pet owners, explaining the importance of spaying and neutering, and performing the procedures correctly, safely, and carefully.

OTHER INITIATIVES
Training in Environmental Education and Basic Sanitation
CAGECE
In line with its commitment to promoting education as a tool for territorial transformation, the Camboa Institute held a training course on Environmental Education and Basic Sanitation on September 11, 2025, at the Institute's headquarters, in partnership with CAGECE — a public company responsible for water supply and sewage services in Ceará, with a strategic role in promoting public health and environmental sustainability.
The initiative brought together 36 participants (including teachers, principals, students, and members of civil society) in a space for qualified exchange, aimed at expanding technical knowledge and raising awareness about sustainable practices in daily life.
